Out my front door.

Happy Saturday! It is a glorious day! The sun is shining, there is a nice breeze and the bumble bees are buzzing all in the bushes in the front of my house. I hope that means spring is on it's way! I just wanted to share what my front door looks like all decked out for Valentine's day. Yes, I am one of those people who decorate my home for every holiday and season. I love decorating for Christmas, so why not do it all year long? It makes since to me! I made the word LOVE out of white chipboard letters from making memories and covered them with printed paper. Then I inked them and added ribbons, lace, buttons and metal charms. The red cherubs I bought at Walmart about 9 years ago when all my kids were in elementary school. The red glitter cherub wreath I bought from JoAnn's last year and I love it! Hope you do to!

Just want to share what I made to decorate my home for Valentine's Day. I have a plate rack in my kitchen and didn't have any Valentine's plates to put on it. So, I made some decorations to that fit on it. The first one I made from a lid that was from a metal tin that my Prima fabric flowers came in. I turned it into a shadow box by covering the back with printed scrapbook paper. I added 3d stickers, a paper doily, and one of my fav. photos of me and Walter. The second one I used a chipboard heart from Technique Tuesday. I covered the heart with printed paper and put another printed paper on the back. So, it was like a frame to decorate. I then added 3d stickers and a photo. Hope you have a wonderful and stress free weekend!

Had a wonderful day today! Slept in late, had a yummy breakfast, worked on a few crafts, went to lunch with two wonderful friends, and my sweet kids made supper for me! Yes, that is a great day! I thought I would post a few things I have finished. The first photo is the one I made for Walter's office and the second photo is of the one I made for me and is hanging on the closet door in my living room.

Well, I know, it's about time! This blog is about 3 years in the making. My sweet husband, Walter has been telling me I need to one for that long! So, about 2 years ago I set up this blog template and then did nothing to it. Well, then my darling daughter, Carissa started hounding me about getting it up and running. "Mom, I want you to get your blog on so people can see how awesome of a scrapbooker you are!" So, with her help I am finally doing it. My blog is now up and running. I hope!

This is NOT just a blog about scrapbooking. It is a blog about my world. Thus, the title "DarLinda's World!" I am not just a scrapper. I am a wife, mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend, and pet mommy. Just to name a few of my titles. I have been married to Walter for 20 1/2 years. I have 3 children, David 19, Austin 18, and Carissa 16. We have a mini Dachshund, Donovan, who is 2 1/2. These are just a few things I will be blogging about. Because, this is my life and welcome to it!
